| PIANO LESSONS Numerous studies have shown that music is an important element in a child’ s development. Music helps a child to develop, not only a higher level of concentration and analytical thinking, but also increases a person’s self- esteem and social skills, as well as helps relieve the stress of the everyday life. Private piano lessons are available for children through adult levels starting at 4yrs. Instruction will be individually designed for each student according to age, ability and personal goals. I will focus on the keyboard, improvisation and note reading, theory, note speller and Ear & Technique training. Your child will develop and learn the love and art of Music and keep it with them for the rests of their lives. |
| VOICE LESSONSAnother extremely diverse instrument, (yes the voice is an instrument!) the voice can be used in every music known to man from opera, to blues, to classical, to Broadway. The list goes on and on. Historically, most studies in the west choose a classical training to strengthen their breathing, sound and range. This enables the voice student to be more versatile. From this basic understanding, voice lessons will give the student the opportunity to cultivate their own unique sound and style. By utilizing the rudiments of vocal technique, a voice student will learn reading, rhythm, vocal production, intonation, theory and more. Age to Start Voice Lessons You can never be too young to begin your training as a musician. Many teachers have different ideas as to what age is appropriate, but generally 12 years of age is a good place to begin serious Voice lessons. It is possible to start Voice lessons at a much younger age (7), but the lessons would focus more on basic musicianship skills and vocal breathing techniques in order to prepare a student for serious training as their body and voice matures. |
| Guitar Benefits of Guitar Lessons: are one route to be coming a musician. Many musicians choose the guitar as a starter instrument because it is readily available. Lessons teach you the right way to hold the guitar and finger the notes. | Violin Lessons As we know it came into its modern form in the 16th century. Through the advent of classical music the violin was thrust into the mainstream. All of the greatest composers wrote symphonies that featured the violin such as Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Schumann, and more. Age to Begin Violin Lessons: Students may begin lessons on the Violin at a very early age; we recommend the student be approximately 6 years or older. Benefits of Violin Lessons: As well as being the most prominent orchestral instrument, the violin has become quite eclectic. You may hear this instrument as a featured soloist in jazz, bluegrass, country, and even electric violin in rock and roll groups. No matter what music you choose the beauty of the violin will always stand out as an important voice for all to hear.
